Thursday was packed with activity and meaningful moments. My cousin Cherish and her husband Adrian are visiting for the weekend, which always brings a special energy to the house. On top of that, tonight was the monthly women's meeting, a gathering I look forward to every month. This time, I led an eight-month study on the Beatitudes, handing out journals to each participant. The response was wonderful, and twelve ladies joined us at my grandma’s home. Hosting there allowed me to help out since I care for my grandma from Sunday to Friday, and I’m grateful everyone was flexible with the location.

Preparing for the Women's Meeting

Creating the eight-month study on the Beatitudes took time and thought. I wanted the study to be both inspiring and practical, so I included journal prompts that encourage reflection and discussion. The journals I handed out were well received, and the ladies seemed eager to dive into the material. Choosing my grandma’s house as the venue was a practical decision. Since I spend most of my week caring for her, it was easier to host the meeting there rather than travel. The space was warm and inviting, perfect for a group focused on faith and fellowship.

Food and Fellowship

Food always plays a big role in bringing people together. For the meeting, I prepared a simple but tasty spread on my Tiffany plate. It included turkey pepperoni, Babybel cheeses, chicken breast, mini cucumbers, and peppers. These finger foods were easy to eat while chatting and studying. Sharing food helped create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable to open up and connect.

Balancing School and Social Plans

This week marks the fifth week of my school term. I spent part of Thursday summarizing my chapters and working on discussion questions. Balancing schoolwork with family and social commitments can be challenging, but planning ahead helps. I made sure to complete my academic tasks early so I could fully enjoy the evening with the women’s group.

Looking Ahead to a Fun Day

Tomorrow promises a fun adventure. I’m heading to Lara’s house early in the morning—by 7 a.m.—to visit the bins in Vancouver and Portland. These trips are always exciting, offering a chance to find unique items and enjoy time with friends. Starting the day early means I’ll need a good night’s rest, but the anticipation makes it worth it.

Finding Joy in a Full Schedule

Busy days like Thursday remind me how important it is to balance family, faith, and fun. Hosting the women’s meeting at my grandma’s house allowed me to support both my family and my community. Preparing the study and food brought a sense of accomplishment and connection. And looking forward to the weekend with Cherish, Adrian, and Lara adds excitement to the mix.

If you’re juggling multiple roles and responsibilities, try to find small moments that bring joy and meaning. Whether it’s sharing a meal, leading a study, or planning a fun outing, these moments build strong bonds and enrich your life. Keep your schedule flexible when possible, and don’t hesitate to ask for help or accommodations. That way, you can enjoy the full experience without feeling overwhelmed.
