Wednesday started with plans that quickly unraveled. Grandma was supposed to have an echo appointment, but the weather had other ideas. Rain and strong winds made her decide to skip it. That left me with a full day ahead, juggling errands and preparations for an upcoming Easter event. What followed was a series of unexpected challenges, but by the end of the day, everything was ready for the Easter Egg hunt at The Snowbird Farm and Cidery.

Morning Disruptions and Weather Challenges

The morning started with a change of plans. Grandma’s echo was canceled because the weather was too rough. Rain and wind made travel unsafe, so she wisely chose to stay home. This unexpected free time meant I had to take care of errands that couldn’t wait, including picking up chicken from the meat store for the event and grabbing groceries for Easter.

The weather was still gloomy, but I had to get going. First, I needed gas. I set off toward the nearest gas station, but halfway there, my car ran out of fuel. It was frustrating and could have ruined the day, but luckily my friend Mitch came to the rescue with some gas. This small act of kindness kept the day moving forward.

Errands and Easter Preparations

Once fueled up, I finally made it to town. The meat store was my first stop. I picked up fresh chicken breasts, perfect for the event’s menu. Then, I headed to the grocery store to gather everything needed for Easter. This included:

  • Eggs for the Easter Egg hunt

  • Fresh vegetables and snacks

  • Ingredients for simple, healthy meals

By the time I finished shopping, it was already late afternoon. I didn’t get back home until around 6 pm, but I had everything I needed to make the event a success.

Meals That Kept Me Going

Despite the hectic day, I managed to eat well. Here’s what I had:

  • Two egg corn tortillas for breakfast

  • A Starbucks Protein Box for a quick, energizing snack

  • Dinner was a simple chicken breast with mini cucumbers, fresh and light after a busy day

These meals kept my energy steady without slowing me down.

Ready for the Easter Egg Hunt

With groceries unpacked and preparations complete, I feel ready for the Easter Egg hunt at The Snowbird Farm and Cidery. The event promises to be a fun day for families and friends, and I’m glad everything came together despite the morning’s setbacks.

The day was a reminder that plans can change quickly, but with a little patience and help from friends, you can still get everything done. Whether it’s a canceled appointment or running out of gas, staying calm and focused makes all the difference.
